Outside, the air was crisp and the ground was dusted with snow, but inside Building B at the McHenry County College (MCC) Crystal Lake campus, the atmosphere was absolutely electric. On Sunday, January 25, 2026, the Winter Wedding Expo, hosted by the incredible team at Parkway Banquets, turned a chilly afternoon into a vibrant celebration of love, planning, and sophisticated style.
As the owner of Chicago Elegant Piano, I’ve played at a lot of venues and events, but this expo felt like a homecoming.
It was a day filled with "oohs" and "aahs," stunning floral displays, and, of course, the soulful, resonant sounds of live piano music filling the hall.

Hosting an event of this scale is no small feat, and they handled it with the kind of warmth and professionalism that makes you realize exactly why they are leaders in the local wedding industry.

From the moment I arrived at MCC to set up, their team was helpful, organized, and genuinely excited to be there.
